Are you looking for a change in the appearance of your floors? Have you ever wondered what the floorboards under your carpet would look like if they were restored to their natural beauty? Fed up of having to get down on your knees to scrub yet another spillage out of the carpet before it stains?

These are some of the most common reasons people opt to have their floors sanded by MJH Floor Sanding.

Wood flooring has been enjoying a major comeback in recent years, it is classic and timeless and modern, not to mention fashionable.

MJH has been sanding and restoring floors for 28 years and has thousands of satisfied customers all over the country. Although we are based in north Essex, our work takes us all over the country, sanding everything from bowling lanes and nightclub dance floors, to domestic floors and offices.

MJH does not only sand old wooden floor boards, we sand ANY sort of wood flooring, be it 100 year old Oak Parquet, or newly laid strip flooring.

When it comes to booking your floor sanding project with MJH, we will endeavour to tailor a programme that will fit in with your normal needs and routines, for example:

If you have to do the school run in the morning we can arrange to arrive a little later, or schedule the work for a weekend.
If you have large, heavy or unmovable furniture we can complete the project in two halves, or arrange to move the furniture.
All of our sanding equipment is kept in excellent working order to ensure the highest levels of dust extraction are obtained and that the finish is as smooth as possible to your floor.

For domestic flooring we also use a special water based non-toxic floor sealant, this is also non-slip and anti yellowing (some inferior sealants tend to go yellow over time). This is also quick drying, with the final coat dry enough after twelve hours to replace furniture back onto the floor. On average a medium sized floor (25-35m) can be completed in one day, causing as little inconvenience as possible.

There are several reasons to consider having your floors sanded and sealed they include:

Low maintenance.
Easy to clean.
High resistance to staining, from spills.
Dust and bacteria levels are kept to a minimum, unlike carpet which harbours such things
Excellent for allergy sufferers, including Asthmatics.
Minimal pet odours.
